Abstract Obesity is a significant public health challenge as well as an economic burden because obese patients are at increased risk of illness from coronary heart disease, hypertension, type U diabetes respiratory insufficiency, vcnOL1S stasis or throbmoembolic disease, debilitating arthritis of weight beating joints, depression as well as from uterine, ovarian, colonic, prostatic cancers (Clltil’les, 2001). The prevelanee of obesity is increasing at an alarming rate In many parts of the world.
