Abstract
Ovarian cancer is a leading cause of death than any other malignancy of female genital tract.
Screening for asymptomatic cases of ovarian cancer acquires special importance as the development of the disease is silent and and 5-year survival rate decreases progressively with advancement of the disease stage at which it is diagnosed.
Tumor markers as a method for ovarian tumor screening were discussed, demonstrating the value of this method of screening as well as measures and updates which can improve the outcome of screening.
