Abstract
A new method of loading was developed by osterberg and was named after him and known as the osterberg method of loading. This new method of loading should be checked by comparing the response of piles and/or barrettes tested by this method to the response of the same piles and/or barrettes tested by the conventional method of loading.
As piles and barrettes are widely spread all over the world, they might be constructed through different types of geomaterials which might be constructed through different types of geomaterials which might be one layer or rock (single socket) or many layers of rocks (multi sockets). Therefore, the response of piles and or barrettes in this type of soil should be investigated.
