Abstract
the aim of this study is to explore one of the safe methods used to reduce caking and dust formation of the ammonium nitrate fertilizer by coating the surface of the granules with Urea Lignosulfonate mixtures of different compositions, thus forming a hydrophobic layer on the surface to prevent moisture absorption which can he considered the major factor leads to caking.
Moisture absorption decreases the mechanical strength of the granules, thus the chance for the dust formation during storage is very high which leads to caking.
