Abstract This study has been carried out to compare the histology and fine structure of the retina of the diurnal reptiles; European chameleon (Chameleo chameleon) and gold skink (Eumeces schneiderii), with that of noctural reptiles; Egyptain gecko (Tarentola annularis), and reptiles with both nocturnal and diurnal activity; horned viper (Cerastes cerastes). The retina of these reptiles were examined by the light and electron microscope. |
