Abstract

This thesis presents a new closed form expression for the Bit Error Rate (BER) of Multi
‎Carrier Code Division Multiple Access MC-CDMA systems in generalized Nakagami-m
‎fading channels.
‎The proposed closed form solution is derived using the exponential approximation of the
‎Q-function which yields in a closed fonn for the Bit Error Rate(BER) that is easily
‎computed using simple programs without the need to use computer simulation or perfornl
‎numerical integration.
‎Two systems are included to apply this approximation on and examine the results, one is
‎using an alternative form of the Q-Function and the other one is using the Moment
‎Generating Function (MGF) method, the results of of each system is then compared with
‎the results obtained from the performance without any approximation.
