Abstract

The present experiments were carried out at the hormone jratory, Department of Environmental Studies, Institute of Graduate lies and Research, Alexandria University. The aim of this study was to tigate the physiological, some hemato-biochemical characteristics and 3n quality alterations induced by sublethal doses of carbofuran and losate in male rabbits. The obtained data can be summerized as vs:
Carbofuran and glyphosate treatment caused a significant decline (P< 0.05) in live body weight, dry matter intake, and drinking water. Rectal temperature and respiration rate were increased (P<o.o5) during treatment with the high doses of the two pesticides.
There were marked (P <0.05) decreases in blood hemoglobin, red blood cell (RBC) counts, packed cell volume and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC), while pesticide treatment resulted in a significant increase (P<0.05) in mean corpuscular volume (MCV). Pesticide treatment caused significant increases (P<0.05) in total leucocyte counts
