Abstract because of the international environmental legislations, costs and quality. In the past, the textile production depended on the export especially to the European Union. Currently, the textile export is a complex business so the national legislation of the country, to which goods will be exported, must be taken into account. In this work, a selection of representative samples of different types of fibers from some twenty eight major Egyptian companies. A selection of some environmental parameters such as the determination of extractable heavy metals, determination of the content of pesticides, test for chlorinated organic carriers, and test for undesirable dyestuffs from a human-ecological point. These parameters are considered as potential problems in Egypt’s textile products. A summary of the results obtained shows that 69.6% of the samples were safe for babies and 96.7 % of the samples were safe for adults use. |
