Abstract
8.1. Introduction
The main goal of this research work is to study the potentaiality of using different methods and materials in the repair and strengthening of reinforced concrete slab-column connections in flat slabs may be essential in many cases for some reasons such as:
a- The actual loads are expected to be in creased than the design loads for any reason such as changing the usage of the reinforced concrete building.
b- Openings are made in an existing solid slab near columns to make new ducts or stairs for the new function of the building.
c- Some codes introduce sometimes method of design with increasing the factor of safety.
d- Detecting errors in the design procedure or mistakes during construction.
