Abstract Bladder cancer is common oncologic problem,representing 32.17 % of all malignancies in Egypt. It is considerably more common in males tha females.Bladder cancer most commonly occur between 30-75 years of age.The most common type of bladder cancer in Gharbiah- Egypt is urothelial carcinoma (54 % ), followed by squamous cell carcinoma (24 %) ,and adenocarcioma (3 %).In order to identify patients at high risk of tumor progression ,numerous prognostic factors have been proposed, which include well established pathologic features such as : degree of cellular differentiation(grade), stage and molecular genetic marker.The marker that has received the !most recent attention as potential I prognostic indicator of bladder cancer is p63. It is strongly expressed at high level in normal urothelium and neoplastic changes are associated with disruption of the normal expression pattern. |
