Abstract this work was to evaluate the liaea of Our surgical different management of haemangiomas . study included 25 patients present ed at the department of Tanta University Hospital with. different types of haemangfomata. These cases we+e subjected to careful history taking and me t iculous clinic a1 examhat ion. Our cases were divided ’into three groupa according to the site and size of the lesion, suxgical excision ’ group ( 9 cases ), injection sclerotherapy group (8 cases) and oorticosteroids group ( 8 cases ). - In ow caaee age varied from 2 months to 11 years with a mean of 2.2 years. The majority of casea weze below the age of 2 years ( 19 cases, 76%). The female , to male ratio waa 3.2 : 1. The commonest site of, haemangiomata was the head and neck ( 28 lesions, 8%). There w@re 3 leaiona (12% ) in the trunk and 2 lesions ( 8%) in the extremities. The size of the lesions varied from 0.5 cm. to 5, om. in the largest diameter. 9 (39%) casea were of the |
