Abstract
In the present study. 161 cases of different breeds of doas aged from 6 months to 12 years from both sexes were submitted to clinic and sufferina from different suraical affections of the ears. nose and throat.
Most of these cases were collected in the Vet. clinic in trainina doa deparment in Alex. Police Academy and some cases from Vet. clinic at faculty of Vet. Med. Alex. Univ.
Each animal was subjected to thorough clinical examination and laboratory diaanosis and sensitivity tests to reach to the best method of treatment medically or suraicallv.
The most prevalent surgical atfectaons and manaament were found in
(1) Ears as (otitis externa. aural haematoma. ear lacerations wounds and ear deviation or dropping)
(2) Nose. as (epistaxis, nasal wounds. lacerations and eczema nasi or dermatitis)
(3) . Throat. (there is no any affection recorded in throat but experimental devocalization and tonsillectomy were done in dogs).
Different types of otitis externa (26> were diagnosed and classified into otitis externa erythematosa squamosa> The second type is otitis externa purulenta which usually affect the dogs and characterized by yellowish mucoid secretion commina from external ear canal. The third type was chronic ulcerative whicn mainly affect dogs. it may be accompanied with perforation of the
