Abstract Sheep and goats act as reservoirs of certain zoonotic bacterial and mycotic to human beings. Farmers, herdsmen and their families as well as are known to be a group of special risk to such pathogens. Pathogenic and potentially pathogenic bacteria and fungi were detected by logical examination of 250 blood samples (150 from sheep, 50 from goats d 50 from man) for detection of positive reactors for Brucella. Also, cteriological examination of rectal swabs collected from 150 sheep (90 arrhoeic cases and 60 apparently healthy) and 50 from goats (23 diarrhoeic es and 27 apparently healthy) as well as 50 stool specimens collected from an beings (30 diarrhoeic cases and 20 apparently healthy). In addition, ycological examination of hair, wool and skin scrapings collected from parently healthy sheep (150) and goats (50) as well as human beings (50) ffering from clinical skin lesions. The samples were collected from Alexandria nd Behera Provinces. he obtained results revealed the following: Serological examination of blood samples: Sheep: Positive reactors for brucellosis were 2.67, 3.33 and 2.67% by using of PT, BAPAT and Rivanol test respectively. Goats: Positive reactors for brucellosis were 0.0, 2.0 and 2.0% by using of RBPT, AT and Rivanol test respectively. Human beings: Positive reactors for brucellosis were 2.0, 0.0 and 2.0% by using of RBPT, IAPAT and Rivanol test respectively. |
