Abstract
In an attempt to study TNF-alpha serum levels in psoriasis and their possible relationships with different clinical, laboratory and pathological parameters, this work was conducted on 68 psoriatic patients and 12 controls. The results revealed that TNF-alpha has a direct relationship with the main clinical and pathological parameters of psoriasis. Neither psoriasis nor TNF-alpha has constant relation to laboratory data. TNF-alpha seems likely to play an important role in the pathogenesis of psoriasis.
