Abstract The incidence of fascioliasis as a zoonotic disease varies greatly between area depending on the relative importance of agriculture level in the area, micro and macroclimatic conditions of the environment and dietary habits of human The present work has been involved 950 and 300 faecal samples collected from man and animal (Sheep, Cattle and Buffaloes) respectively at Alexandria Govemorate and examined microscopically for the detection of fasciola egg. The obtained results revealed that: [1] The general incidence of fascioliasis in the examined animals was 23.3%. The incidence of fascioliasis in sheep, cattle and buffaloes was found to be 34.3 and 23,1 and 16% respectively. The incidence of fascioliasis in human being at Alexandria Governorate was 7.2%. |
