Abstract Between February 1999 and February 2000 36 patients with invasive bladder cancer were exposed to radical cystoprostatectomy and continent urinary diversion using ileum ill the form of orthotopic ileal neobladder. The anastomosis of the ureter to the ileal neobladder was done by three techniques. s-Direct IIreteroileal ansto1110sis technique: was done in 20 patients (40 renal un its). 2-Serouslined extra11luraL tunnel method: was done In 8 patients (16 renal units). 3-Le Due and Canty: submucous trough technique was done in 8 patients (16 renal units). 30 patients (60 renal units), 16 patients (32 renal units) in the Direct method, 7 patients (14 renal units) in the Serous Lined and 7 patients (14 renal units) were followed up for 6 post operatively through intravenous urography, |
