Abstract Cardiac arrest is defined as an abrupt cessation of cardiac pang finction, which may be reversible but will lead to death in the absence of prompt interventions. it may be in the form of asystole, verltriulr fibrillation, or pulseless electrical activity. Cardiopulmonary-cerebral resuscitation consists of 3 steps; Basic life support (airway control, breathing support, and circulation support), Advanced cardiac life support (drugs and fluids, ECG monitoring, and fibrillation therapy, and Prolonged life support (gauging human mentati^on and intensive care). |
