Abstract This thesis prcscnts an actual industrial application of programmable logic controller (PLC) networks in the crude oil process plant with a design of PID controller for oil level control. Programmable logic controller controls several processes by the same hardware components and different sollware implementations support several control algorithms. The thcsis prescnts a survey of the computer control systems, including the programmable logic controller (PLC), distributed control systems (DCS), and supervisory control and Data Acq”sition systems (SCAD A). Therefore, the computer control networks , which supports the computer control systems. The actual Industrial crude oil processing plant utilized in AGIBA petroleum company is presented . the programmable logic controller network control system which controls the crude oil processing plant is discussed. The model of level control loop in the oil process plant is presented this model is used to design a proportional-integral-derivative controller, this PID is fine tuned and applied to the actual system the response of the system is accepted as a process wise. |
