Abstract
In Maghagha district total number of population were 352.482 in 1997 , 17.6% live in urban areas and 28.4% live in rural areas. Maternal and child health care is provided by 2 MCH centers in urban areas , 23 rural units in rural areas. Evaluations of the components and standards of services and their effectiveness in meeting maternal and child needs was done by collecting data about MCH services within Maghagha district. The monthly reports from the studied units and Maghagha district as a whole were collected and computerized. We found that there were high percentage of deficient registration for some important items and also each monthly report had a lot of data, there are doublication and waste exist and much of information reported not relavent to the tasks.
