This ease endanger the national income due to condemination of infested livers and the reduction in weight gain, wool lity, milk yeild and ash. In addition animals suffering fror cioliasis exhibited a minimized digestion and diarrhoea due liver troubles. Therefore, many trials were performed in er to combst thi3 diiec3e Carbon tetrachioride is the old truely effective remedy roduced for the treatment of fascioliasis in 1920. Carbon trachioride is more active against mature flukes, but less ective against immature forms. A seoonc3. untoward effect its marked toxicity to the mammalian liver and the heart. these reasons a series of newlY developed fasciolicidal gs were introduced to avoid the toxicity resulted from eatment with Carbon tetrachloride and might be of value treating acute fascioliasis. In this experimental work, the pharmacodynamic proper— ies of Niclofolan and Rafoxanide in comparison with Carbon tre.chloride were studied. The toxicological activities of these fasciolicidal drugs were also investigated. |
