Abstract
The aim of the present work was to study the effect of some antibiotics namely,Brythromycin and Josamycin on growth and. feed efficiency in Gemmeza chicks. The animals were divided into 3 equal groups each of 50 chicks. The first group take the basal ration,the second and third group administered ration supplemented with Erythromycin and Josamycin at level of 10 gin/ton for 8 weeks respe-. otively. The growth rate was calculated and the food consumption/per chicks and the feed efficiency were calculated. At the end of the experiment ,l0 chickens from each group ( 5 males,5 females )were slaughtered and blood samples were taken for haema— tological and biochemical exarnination.The internal organs C kidney — liver — spleen — heart — intestine and gizzeard ) were weighed, and samples were taken from some organs (kidney — liver — spleen — heart) for histopathological examination. Moreover, 10 chickens from each group (5 males + females) were slaughtered and samples from muscles,liver,kidney, spleen,heart,intestine thigh. and breast muscle were isolated to detect the antibiotic residue.
