(172 case) aged from 1- 45 day old were examined for presence of enteric bacteria. In which only 137 case with the percentage of 79.7% showed bacterial isolates. The most common clinical signs of affected newborn lambs
were fever, different degree of dehydration, emaciation, congestion
in mucous membrane and diarrhoea which varied from profuse watery to semifluid to pasty one and ranged from whitish to
yellowish in colour other show greenish diarrhoea and some have bloody diarrhoea which may sometimes contain mucous. The most prevalent enteric bacteria isolated from apparently
healthy lambs were E.coli, Citrobacter sp., Enterobacter sp.,Klebsiella sp., Proteus sp. and Serratia sp. with a percentage of 37.5%, 12.50/0, 15%, 50/0, 5% and 2.5% respectively.
These enteric bacteria from apparently healthy lambs were isolated in single infection in a percentage of 47.5% and mixed infection with a percentage of 15%. The single isolated from apparently healthy lambs were E.coli, Citrobacter sp., Enterobacter sp., Klebsiella sp., Proteus sp. and Serratia sp. with a percentage of 57.90/0,10.50/0,15.7%,5.30/0,
5.3% and 5.3% respectively. But the mixed infection were E. coli +
