Abstract

An important quality attribute of a computer system is the degree to which it can be relied upon to perform its intended functions. Until the late 1960attention was almost towards hardware performance of the system.
In the early 1970’s software also became a matter of concern.
Most of the reliability models treat faults equally(macro model) however there are other models where the importance of the foult plays an important role in the reliability measure estimated(micro model).
Although micro models are more accurate , however it needs more effort thus we proposed a hybrid model to use which has more accurracy than macro & less effort than than micro.
