Abstract This work was carried on 90 adult sheep to conduct an experimental and field studies for the evaluation of the use of preprobiotic alone (Nutrisam: a natural feed additives from the sea algae) or with combination of probiotic (Protexin: feed additives from Aspergillus and microbes) or with probiotic and proprobiotic (Bionutrient: feed additives from Aspergillus, microbes and oligosaccharides) on the ruminal contents of sheep. Experimental studies Two experimental studies were done upon 40 clinically healthy sheep in the Farm of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine zagazig university . The first experiment consisted of 20 sheep, they divided into 4 subgroups each consisted of 5 sheep. the first subgroup was used as a control while the 2nd, 3rd and 4th subgroups were given orally 5 gm Protexin, 5 gm Nutrisam, 2 gm Bionutreint respectively per day per head for 7 weeks. All subgroups fed on green ration. The secand experiment was included of 20 sheep, divided into 4 subgroups each consisted of 5 sheep, the first subgroup was used as a control while the 2nd, 3rd and 4th subgroups were given orally 5 gm Protexin, 5 gm Nutrisam, 2 gm Bionutreint, respectively per day per head for 7 weeks. All subgroups fed on dry ration. The use of preprobiotics alone or with other biobiotic had no effect on the physical characters of the rumen juice including colour, odour, consistency and sedimentation activity rate. |
