Abstract
This investigation was conducted on a total number of cows at late stage of pregnancy and early lactation with chief complaint of off food, ketosis, retained placenta, metritis, and
mastitis for apply of laboratory and sonographic studies on fatty liver. Group I :( control group) consisted of 10 health cows selected from El-Salhia farm. Blood samples were taken from each cow for serum separation to determine level of glucose, total protein, albumin, total bilirubin, phosphorous, AST, AL T, triglyceride and NEF A. The laboratory tests for previous parameters were within the normal range. Sonographic examination of the liver which reveal normal liver. Group II: consisted of 20 cows admitted to hospital clinic of faculty of veterinary medicine, Zagazig University with complaints off food, ketosis, and diarrhea. Blood sample were taken from each cow for serum separation to determine values of glucose, total protein, albumin, total bilirubin, inorganic phosphorous, AST, AL T, triglyceride and NEFA. Ultrasonographic examinations of the liver of both healthy and diseased animal were applied. The obtained results showed that, there were significant
