Abstract Experiments were carried out to study the differential responses in two selected, out of five, wheat cultivars to boron toxicity to evaluate biomass production, H2O2 and proline accumulation, photosynthetic pigments content, K+ leakage, MDA, boron concentration, soluble carbohydrates and proteins, free amino acids, ascorbic acid, phenolics and PAL enzyme, analyzing proteins using SDS-PAGE analysis, and determining the activity of POD, CAT, GR, APX, SOD enzymes. |
