The anatomic problems are the anterior elements that are displaced and impining on the cord and the anterior elements are most inportant in reestablishing the anatomical and mechanical intergrityof the spinal column. 15 patients were included in our study .53.3% were females and 60% were in the young adult group. both types of truma, hyperflexion and hyperflexion with compression, affected the thoracolmbar region more. type A burst fracture (failure of both superior and inferior end plates) was more common than the other types(40)% All cases were treated by anterior decompression and stabilization 40% of the patients were improved after surgery. |
