Abstract
the aim of the present work will be 1-to master the techniqe of scanning electron microscopy 2- tostudy the prenatal and postnatal morphological cganges that may occur in the
developments of lingual papillae in rats
Many mammals have four different types of lingual papillae, namely filiform , fungiform , circumvallate , and foliate papillae , on the dorsal or lateral surface of the tongue.However , details of the morphogenesis of these lingual papillae (filiform , fungiform , circumvallate papillae) that may occur during development of lingual papillae in rats.
Thirty albino mature female rats (from Physiology Department of the Faculty of Medicine , Alexandria University ) would be caged for twenty-four hours with breeding male rats, then would be examined for vaginal plug; the day of observation of a plug would be considered the first day of gestation(E1) (e WOULD BE REMOVED FROM THE PREGNANT FEMALE RATS UNDER ANAETHESIA (eTHER INHALATION) AND ABDOMINAL INCISION.`
