Abstract Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is an increasing common condition with limited treatment options that is placing great borden and responsibility the use of complementary and alternative medicines (CAMS) which in fact has increased in the past decade. Although there is a potential therapeutic benefits of CAMS, several studies show possible adverse outcome from use of some CAMS. The increased use of self-prescribed CAMS by patients suggests that practitioners and researchers should keep abreast of the current information which little is known. |
