Abstract
The nprevalence of NIDDM vanes from 1.5% to 14% in the mediterranean regions ,while that of IDDM varies from 0.01% to 0.85% in the various countries,but of NIDDM include malta Israel(6%) and cyprus(14%)
In almost all published epidemiologic studies on diabetes mellitus,an increased prevalence rate has been observed in urban communities compare to rural communities.
