Abstract This study was conducted to compare the effectiveness or PDT versus IVTA injection versus combined PDT and IVTA in the management ol subloveal CNN’ caused by AMD over one year. The study included 3 groups of patients: The PDT ;group,: 15 eyes, corresponding to 1. I patients. These eves received PDT. There were females (5 eyes), and 7 males (10 eyes). Their 1-we varied from 53 to 7S years. In tht 3rd month follow up, there vas a gain in the Suellen lines about 40% of eyes gained one line and 46.-7% of eyes lost > one line, in one year Coilow up the gain decreased t 26.7% of eyes and the loss increased to 53.3% or eves. There was a significant chanE of mean Log MAR in the 3”1 month but there was insignificant deterioration in ti mean Log MAR of visual acuity at the end of one year follow up. The mean lop and cataract changes in this group did not reveal any sit-tific change over the one year follow up. 40% of eyes reported improvement in the fluorescein leakage in the 3id mo and one year follow up, 13.3% of eyes revealed worsening in the fluorescein leak in the 3rd month follow up which increased to 26.7% or eves in one year foltow up . |
