Abstract
Two field experiments were carried out at sewage water plant at El-Salhia El-Gedida city, Sharkia governorate, Egypt during two successive seasons 2000/2001 and 2001/2002 to investigate the effects of some agronomic practices and using treated sewage water on productivity of wheat.
Each experiment was included 12 treatments which were the combination of two planting methods and six fertilization treatments. Wheat cultivar Sakha 8 (Triticum aestivum, L.) was used. Treated sewage water was used as a source of irrigation water. The preceding crops were fallow in summer seasons, before planting wheat. The texture of experimental soil sites were sandy loam in both seasons. Sowing dates were November 27th and 28th in first and second season, respectively. Wheat plants were harvested at May 20th and 17th for first and second season, respectively. Split-plot design in six replicates was used.
