Abstract

The importance of udder in our life is the fact that, it is the only
source of natural milk which is essential for both human and animal as
an excellent easily digested nutrition source. Moreover, milk IS
considered as the back bone of milk industries and milk products.
Nowadays it is impossible to continue without milk and for milk
products. Goats are known to either stand advers environmental
conditions and it has recently been stablished that goats are capable of
production under adverse environmental conditions and very low
management standards. We should keep the udder in a good sound
condition. And any udder and teat surgical affections must be handled as
rapidly as possible to avoid further complications that lead to udder less
function or loss its function. The mammary gland is the distinguishing
feature of mammals, and it is a part of the reproductive apparatus.
I mpairement of the function of the udder is considered as the most
serious problem in dairy goats that causes great economic losses.
Sheep are always of vital economic importance in many countries
and thier world numbers are steadily increasing. More than 8 milions
tons of milk are produced annually by the sheep industry world wide.
The Mediterranean and middle eastern countries keep sheep mainly as
producer of milk .. The problem of consuming an adequate and
wholesome supply of milk is a matter which depends on many factors of
which the udder and teat affections play an important role (Croston and
Pollat, 1985 and Nouh, 1991).
Teat affections always lead to economic loss in milk yield, loss in
antibiotics-treated milk, possible loss of quarter if there is a necessity to
dry off, and finally reflected on the economic value of the dairy animals,
