Abstract Aim of the work To evaluate the effects of the interventional technique (epidural analgesia) versus traditional technique (Cupping therapy) for pain relief in patients with low back pain which failed to recover with the conservative medical treatment. Conclusion The epidural injection of steroids and local anesthetics for the relief of low back pain is effective, and has wonderful results. Also, the wet cupping therapy has the similar effect nut without any complications, safe and cost effective. Recommendations The use of the wet cupping for relief of low back pain is effective as the epidural injection of steroids and local anesthetics. So, it can apply for example, when there are contraindications to interventional therapy. More researches are required about cupping therapy to address its effect in other diseases and its mechanism of action. |
