Abstract The thesis presents some approaches that can be used in the evaluation of approaches the reliability of electric power systems The first approach is used in the field of generation reliability . It is a quali¬tative approach for the evaluation of the loss of load et titian ( COLE ) which is based on the eigen - system technique . The second approach is used in the field of electric transmission , In this field it is necessary to calculate the steady state probability of a multi - stage Markov system . The importance of the calculation of the steady state proba¬bility in electric power system is evident since it contains repairable compo¬nents . The proposed approach is based upon the eigen - system method calculate the steady state probability . The third approach is used in the field of bulk generation and sion reliability evaluation.It is a new technique to calculate the in¬dex at individual load buses, in any electric power net work . The loss of load probability ( LOLP ) is a measure of the redabL=v this evaluation .
