Abstract
Aim of the work
The aim of this study is to clarify the influence of Atorvastatin, Pravastatin and Fluvastatin on the ability of Clopidogrel to inhibit platelet aggregation in patients with unstable angina.
Conclusion
Our study demonstrated that:
1- Atorvastatin, but not Pravastatin, nor Fluvastatin attenuated the anti platelet activity of clopidogrel.
2- Attenuation of the anti platelet activity of clopidogrel after loading dose 300mg is statistically significant among all study groups. But this statistically significant difference was of lower value in group 2 (Atorvastatin group).
3- Co administration of diltiazem attenuated that anti platelet activity of clopidogrel.
