Abstract The object of thios thesis is to provide useful computer programs for the liquid extraction calculations. The first part of the thesis describes the theoretical laws governing the liquid-liquid systems. The second chapter deals with the different rules governing the liquid equilibria. The third chapter deals with the thermodynamics of the liquid systems and the stability conditions. The third chapter also summarizes the different equations used in the predication of the liquid equilibrium. The Fourth chapter summarizes the desired properties and the preferation rules for solvents selection. The fifth chapter describes the several mathematical methods for calculating the various streams concentrations and the number of stages for the liquid extraction.This includes the analytical graphical and numerical methods of calculations. |
