Abstract The present study was carried out aiming to elucidate further the response of culex pipiens to the moulting disupting compounds as compared with the organophosphorus compound, malathion, and the biocide B. thuringiensis Var. israelensis fromeither toxicological or biological view points and the application of these materials under field conditions to control the natural population of C.pipiens.
