Abstract The object of this work is to give a detailed si¬mulation of an actual four stroke gasoline engine taking into consideration several phenomena suoh as’ heat transfer, dissociation, and diffu.sion. Several computer programs are given to study the effect of diffe~ent parameters on the engine performanee. These parameters inolude the engine speed, flame speed, intake manifold pressure and ail” fuel ratio. TO verify the theoretioal resu!ts, they are compared with the experimental observations obtained from tests on a six cylinder four stroke gasoline engine. Xhe theoretical and experimental results are re¬presented in curves, tables and eomputer programs to help the designers and users of internal combustion engines. |
