Abstract The present workdeals with the diffusion behaviour•of tsells in ocl el te polymers . Carboxymcthylce’ lulo--.e ( was chosen. as: a polvelectrolyte to conduct the present &tudv in. view of its solubility and stability in aqueous so cations . Variables studied were . i-type of salt, three sal tE were uFd , naiiiely , sodiuim chlorAodiLun sulphate and phosphate .ii- concentration iii- Temperature the study was conducted using the porous frit technique The present. investigation revealed the present results 1- in general it was found that , salt diffusivity increases in dilute C^!C solution to a value higher than that in water Salt diffusivity decreases gradually with increasing CMC conc¬entration till it reaches a value lower than that in water2- The increase in salt diffusivity in CMC solutions was more pronounced in case of phosphates than sulphates and chlorides 3-For The three salts the ratiodiffusivity in CMC solution and that in water was found to be.a linear functior,, of CHIC concentration |
