Abstract Two field experiments were conducted at sids agricultural research station farm Beni- suef governorate Egypt during the two successive growing seasons of 2000/2001 and 2001/2002. This work aimed to find out the effect of deficit irrigation potassium fertilization and crop rotation (previous crop) on yield and quality of sugar beet (beta vulgarisl ) C.V. kawemira as well as soil water relation (planting after maize a and planting after soybean a2 ) were arranged randomly on the main plots irrigation treatment (full irrigation requirements b1, 805%b2 and 60% from irrigation requirements b3 ) were allocated randomly in the sub – plots and potassium rate fertilization( without potassium fertilization c1(control), 24kg k2 O /fed. C 2and 48 kg k2 O /fed c3 ) were distributed at random in the sub – plots. |
