Abstract The present work is a.study of the rate of electroplishing of cylindrical. workpiece under a wide range of -changing, condi¬’tions ’which include: i. Rotational speed of the workpiece. ii. Concentration and physical properties of the polishing, solution (density and viscosity). i. Work piece .diameter. ii. Initial surface roughness of the workpiece. Electropolishing of copper in phosphoric acid was chosen to conduct the present study. Rates of polishing were expressed by measuring the limiting current at which polishing takes place under different conditions. The study revealed the following results:, 1. The limiting current (polishing current decreases with increasing phosphoric acid concentration according to the equation: I KC —1.6 L C 2.
