Abstract
The present study was carried out at the experimental farm,Faculty of Agriculture,El-Minia University during the summer season of 1999 and 2000 to study the effect of plant population,distribution, and weed control treatments on Weeds, plant growth characteristics, yield and yield components on maize.
The experimental design was split-split plot design with four replication.plant population (20000 plants/ fed, 24000 plants /fed and 30000 plants/ fed ) was ranked in the main plots.plant distribution (one or two plants / hill)taken sub plots and weed control treatments( 1- Hand weeding. 2- Gesaprim herbicids. 3- Hand hoeing. 4- Mongbean as acouer plants. 5- Guar as acouer plants. 6- Control )as sub-sub-plots.
