Abstract THE APPLICATION OF STATISTICAL METHODS INQUALITY IMPROVEMENT OF INJECTION MOLDED PARTS ARE WIDELY USED IN PLASTIC MANUFACTURING THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS WORK IS TO STUDY THE EFFECT OF INJECTION MOLDING PARAMETERS SUCH AS INJECTION STROKE AND HOLDING PRESSURE TIME ON THE QUALITY CONTROL OF PLASTIC PRODUCT ALSO,EFFECT OF POLYMERIC RAW MATERIAL PHYSICAL PROPERTIES SUCH AS MELT FLOW INDEX IS CONSIDERED.THE QUALITY OF PLASTIC PRODUCT(EGYPTIAN DOWEL RAILWAY) IS EVALUATED THROUGH ITS MECHANICAL BEHAVIOR SUCH AS MAXIMUM STRENGTH,DUCTILITY AT MAXIMUM STRENGTH,MODULUS OF ELASTICITY AND TOUGHNESS,AND PHYSICAL PROPERTIES SUCH AS DENSITY AND SHRINKAGE. ALSO THE STUDY OF THE MORPHOLOGY IS CONSIDERED.THE STATISTICAL ANALYSIS SHOW THE SIGNIFICANCE EFFECT FOR ALL INJECTION MOLDING PARAMETERS ON MECHANICAL PROPERTIES WHETHER INDIVIDUALLY OR INTERACTIONALLY , WHILE IT IS NOT SIGNIFICANT ON SHRINKAGE AND DENSITY AS INTERACTION EFFECTS |
