Abstract
Six hundred one-day-old chicks from each of lohmann, ISA, Ross, Euribrid, Ross Mini, ASA, and Arbor Across hybrids were used in growth experiment up to 40 days. Each hybrid group was randomly subdivided into three replicates, weighed and housed on a separate floor pen. All hybrid chicks were fed on 235 g./bird starter diet (23% protein and 2955 k cal/kg.) then switched on the growing diet (22 % protein and 3250 K cal/kg.). At 40 days of age body weight, body weight gain, feed consumption, feed conversion, and mortality percent were recorded and calculated; 20 birds from each hybrid group (10 from each sex)were randomly taken for slaughter. The residual birds of each hybrid were reared continously on the same growing diet up to 60 days of age, whereas similar samples from each hybrid birds were taken at 47 and 60 days of age for slaughter.(10 birds X 2 sexes X 3 ages X 7 hybrids).
