Abstract

Bollworm insects in cotton P. gossypiella and E. insulana have an economic impact on cotton production in Egypt. Chemical control tactics have been and will continue to be a predominant method of control of cotton pest. However, insect pest management approaches will continue to play an important role in decreasing losses due to bollworm as well as decreasing the number and amount of pesticides applied in cotton fields. from these approaches induced cotton plant resistance against infestation of bollworms. Thus, this course of investigation was carried out with the aim of adding information to our knowledge on the induced resistance in cotton plants to escape heavy attack by plant inducers.
