Abstract
The thory of application of green `s fuction to hydrodynamic problrms is revised in order to outline the method and techniques used hor the propagation of waves and its diffraction the diffraction of kelvin wave by a narrow opening in a barrier separating two semi-infinite sheets of water is formulated as an intergral equation.an approximate solution of this problem is obtained on the hypothesis that the gap is small compared with the laength of the incident wave .
