from all the obtained results on the experimental level. We can suggest with some caution that chitosan may be used effectively alone or in combination with silymarin, DDB and Dandelion for releaving the symptoms of hepatitis or liver cirrhosis and may improve the histopathological conditions of the hepatocytes in rats.
These drugs proved their efficacy as a hepatoprotective as well as by their evident antioxidative, scavenging free radicals, antifibrotic and anti-inflammatory effects.
These conclusions still on the experimental level and need support from some clinical trials in patients with liver cirrhosis.
We recommend also the addition of these drugs to ration of laying hens as a supportive treatment for the liver of these birds.
