Abstract LASIK is becoming increasingly popular for the correction of myopia. However post-LASIK changes in lOP and central pachymetry have been reported. The aim of this study was to follow up one hundred thirty (130)eyes of 76 patients undergoing LASIK procedure with a preoperative spherical equivalent ranging from -4.0D to -12.0D.It was divided into two groups; group A from -4 to <-7 and group B from -7 to -12 for 3 months post-LASIK follow up to determine the reliability of intra-ocular pressure (lOP) measurements by different available methods. The patients were subjected to thorough preoperative and postoperative examination including slit-lamp biomicroscopy of anterior and posterior segments, measurement of the lOP by Goldmann applanation (GAT), Schioetz and air-puff non-contact tonometers, fundus, examination, corneal topography and pachymetry. |
