Abstract
The Aim Of Prospective Study Is To Compare Sequential Versus Concomitant Adjuvant Chemotherapy And Radiotherapy In Breat Cancer Patients In Term Of Toxicity, Disease Control And Survival.This is a prospective randomized study carried out at clinical oncology department Zagazig University Hospitals between September 2001 and April 2003 and patients followed up to September 2006.
The present study was designed to investigate appropriate sequencing of adjuvant radiotherapy and adjuvant chemotherapy effect on DFS and as and to assess the radiotherapy and chemotherapy morbidity in the both groups. Patients in group A and B were well matched with no statistical significant difference in term of age, menopausal status, affected quadrant, tumor size, histopathological type, grade and hormonal receptor status. On 100 female patients with breast cancer. All patients were thoroughly examined and investigated by routine laboratory tests, chest X- ray, abdominal ultrasound and bone scan. The median follow up was 54 months.
